The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking applications for its Historic Preservation Fund Tribal Heritage Grants to federally recognized Indian tribes for cultural and historic preservation projects. These grants assist Indian Tribes, Alaskan Natives, and Native Hawaiian Organizations in protecting and promoting their unique cultural heritage and traditions.
The program focuses on what they are most concerned with protecting – Native language, oral history, plant and animal species important in tradition, sacred and historic places, and the establishment of tribal historic preservation offices.

- Award Ceiling: $60,000
- Award Floor: $5,000
Eligibility Criteria
- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
- Federally recognized Indian Tribes, Alaskan Natives,
- Native Hawaiian Organizations as defined by 54 U.S.C. 300314.
