Deadline: 3 December 2018
Are you an international entrepreneur? If so, you may not always see everything that happens in your production chain. For example, you may not know whether child labour is taking place within that chain. Do you want to take active steps to tackle child labour within your production chain? If yes, then apply for a subsidy from the Fund against Child Labour (FBK) subsidy programme.
The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl) is seeking applications for its Fund against Child Labour (FBK) programme to support their project with a subsidy, as well as through a knowledge project incorporating information, advice and the exchange of knowledge.
The FBK helps Dutch businesses that:
- want to carry out research locally into the root causes of child labour within their production chain and would like to take measures to prevent it at local level;
- are taking measures to prevent child labour within their own businesses.
Budget Information
- The FBK is a five-year subsidy programme (2018 – 2022), during which there will be several opportunities to submit project applications. In 2018 and 2019, € 5.5 million in subsidies will be available each time there is an invitation to submit an application.
- Applicants may apply for a subsidy of no more than € 475,000 for each project, representing a maximum of 70% of the total eligible costs. The FBK will subsidise at least 11 projects each year.
Types of Project
Applicants may apply for a subsidy for the following types of project:
- Local impact research: in-depth research into child labour on site and within the business or businesses;
- On-site activities to tackle child labour in conjunction with due diligence measures within their own business or businesses.
Eligibility Criteria
- The FBK accepts applications for countries on the List of recipients of Official Development Assistance (mentioned below).
- If applicants apply for a subsidy for activities aimed at combating child labour, they must carry out those activities within four years in partnership with other organisations.
