The National Institute for Health Care Management (NIHCM) Foundation is currently accepting applications for the fourth round of its Journalism Grants program in order to support timely health care journalism that informs efforts to improve the health of Americans, and that examines emerging health issues and their implications for cost, quality and access.
Focus Areas
- health reporting
- educational opportunities for health care reporters
- support for documentary films and their public engagement campaigns
Funding Information
NIHCM is making available up to $200,000 to support this initiative and expects to fund 6 to 8 grants from this amount.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications from individual journalists as well as from all types of organizations and institutions, including both non-profit and for-profit entities will be accepted.
- Those applicants accepted for further consideration will be contacted by September regarding the next steps in the application process.
- NIHCM will announce the grant winners in the fall of 2017.
