The Government of Nunavut is accepting applications for its Sport for Life Social Development Grant Program.
The Nunavut Sport for Life Program provides financial support to assist in the development and implementation of programs that encourage Nunavummiut to be active for life.
Priorities
- Funding is available for projects that align with the goals of Nunaliit Aulajut: Nunavut’s Sport, Physical Activity, and Recreation Framework and support the priorities of the Sport and Recreation division.
- Introductory Sport/Physical Literacy Programs
- Planning and delivery of community-level programs introducing Nunavummiut to new sport activities or aimed at increasing physical literacy levels among youth.
- Physical Activity Initiatives
- Planning and delivery of programs that support ongoing or increased physical activity levels among Nunavummiut.
- Traditional Activities
- Community-based traditional activities that involve a physical activity component.
- Other Sport for Life Activities
- Programs or initiatives that align with the goals of the Department and the broader strategic framework for sport, recreation, and physical activity in Nunavut.
- Introductory Sport/Physical Literacy Programs
Funding Information
- Applicants may apply for up to $25,000 per agreement.

- Municipal organizations
- Non-Profit Organizations
