The Brooklyn Communities Collaborative’s (BCC) 2021 Strong Communities Fund is now open for applications. It aims to strengthen Brooklyn community-based organizations, develop civic infrastructure to address community priorities with flexible funds, and amplify community-led voice and impact.
Brooklyn Communities Collaborative envisions a Brooklyn where all communities are healthy, economically sound, culturally vibrant, and civically engaged.
BCC is a New York State not-for-profit focused on strengthening health, wealth, and leadership in Brooklyn communities. Leveraging the power of anchor institutions and knowledge of community members, BCC convenes and supports stakeholders to collaborate, integrate services, build resources, and inform the policies and practices that most affect health and well-being.
Funding Information
- BCC is pleased to announce an additional $ 1M investment in the fund. Applicants can request up to $ 75,000 for projects focused on COVID-19 outreach and improving accessibility for testing and vaccination.
Criteria
- Prioritize zip codes with high rates of COVID-19 infection and / or low rates of testing / vaccination
- Demonstrate a commitment to equity – serving high-need populations with leadership and staff that are reflective of the community being served
- Provide evidence of existing efforts or demonstrate the ability and capacity to operate community-driven outreach projects
- Provide an outreach plan.
