The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) seeks applications for funding to provide support to the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force program.
ICAC task forces work collaboratively as a national network of law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies that prevent, interdict, and investigate technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation and Internet crimes against children. Through this program, the successful applicant will provide a variety of services and support to OJJDP and the ICAC task force program to fight against child sexual exploitation. This program furthers the DOJ’s mission by providing support to law enforcement, prosecutors, and other professionals involved in investigating and prosecuting technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation.
Goals, Objectives and Deliverables
- Goals
- The goal of this cooperative agreement is to facilitate program support to benefit the ICAC task force program.
- Objectives
- An applicant should address all of the objectives listed in the Goals, Objectives, Deliverables, and Timeline web-based form.
- The primary objective will be the delivery of specific products, discussed below, to serve local, state, federal, Tribal, and military law enforcement and other ICAC service providers and key stakeholders affiliated with the ICAC task force program. Focus areas should include community outreach, public awareness, and the prevention and investigation of online child sexual exploitation activities.
- Deliverables
- The following lists the required deliverables, such as expected products, services, or activities that should be developed/delivered as a result of this program:
- Provide Support for the ICAC Task Force National Training Event, Commanders’ Meetings, and Implementation of the National Strategy for Child Exploitation Prevention and Interdiction (National Strategy). The successful applicant, with OJJDP oversight, will coordinate, plan logistics, and provide pre-event support and onsite management for an annual ICAC national training event and as many as four commanders’ meetings that facilitate networking, skill building, and information sharing among participants. As a part of this task, the awardee will support regular planning conference calls among OJJDP staff, consultants, and participants.
- System for Monitoring Consumer Feedback. The successful applicant will develop and maintain a uniform, systematic evaluation process that enables OJJDP to assess the satisfaction of the target audience with services received in terms of promptness, quality of technical assistance, and resources.
- Training and Technical Assistance Website. The successful applicant, in coordination with OJJDP, the ICAC task forces, and the ICAC training providers, will maintain, expand, and regularly update a system to receive and track online requests for technical assistance and to provide information regarding upcoming conferences and training events and online access to OJJDP-produced materials.
- Special Projects. OJJDP may require that the awardee conduct special projects or develop products in support of this cooperative agreement. The awardee will work closely with the assigned OJJDP program manager on the development of any special projects, as needed.
