The Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic as the National Focal Point has currently launched the Call for smaller scale activities – travel grants under Fund for Bilateral Relations.
The aim of the Call is to support short-term initiatives in a partner country with a clear bilateral profile focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Slovakia and Donor States.
Funding Information
- Total Allocation is sized upto EUR 50,000;
- Maximum Grant is sized upto EUR 5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- All legal entities established in Slovakia or in one of the Donor States are eligible to apply;
- The Programme Operators of the Programmes within the EEA and Norway Grants 2014 – 2021 are not eligible to apply;
- Each Slovak applicant must have at least one partner from a Donor;
- State and vice versa; or has to document the clear bilateral context of the initiative otherwise;
- The implementation of the initiative must be completed within 7 days, including 2 days for the journey and not later than 31st March 2021;
- Generally, expenditures of up to 2 persons can be reimbursed. In dully justified cases, expenditures of up to 5 persons can be reimbursed;
- The mandatory attachments to the Grant Application are participation-related document(s).
Eligible Activities
- The travel grants under this call are provided for short-term initiatives in the partner country with clear bilateral profile, serving the purpose of strengthening bilateral relations between Slovakia and the Donor States. Publicity output related to the initiative is required (publishing of article, press report, blog, social media post etc.);
- As an example, the mere participation of Slovak representative at a conference in Donor State is not considered sufficient to be defined as “bilateral”. The participation must reflect the ambition of strengthening bilateral relations, e.g. through exchanging relevant experiences between the Donor State and Slovakia;
- The Applicant shall select at least 2 indicators listed in the Bilateral Fund Guide;
- Unless otherwise agreed by the National Focal Point, the initiative needs to be financially completed within one month from the date of return from the travel, and the Final Report should be submitted no later than two months following the date of return from the travel. The National Focal Point reserves the right not to reimburse the grant or its part in case the above mentioned was not complied with.
