Pact Zambia is seeking applications from local, non-governmental, community and faith-based organizations (NGOs/CBOs/FBOs) to implement Pact’s Community HIV Prevention Project (Z-CHPP).
The USAID-funded Zambia Community HIV Prevention Project (Z-CHPP), led by Pact Inc., is a five-year cooperative agreement from USAID designed to accelerate progress towards Zambia’s goal of reducing new HIV infections by increasing adoption of high impact HIV services and protective behaviors with a key focus on people living with HIV (PLHIV), discordant couples, young women, migrant workers and other high risk groups, using evidence-based and locally owned solutions.
By supporting the Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) and developing local community and district level solutions, Z-CHPP will assist Zambia to react the UNAIDS 90-90-90 targets.
Objectives
- Key determinants of risk behavior mitigated among priority populations.
- Increase in completed referrals from community programs to high impact services
- Actions adopted by communities to reduce young women’s vulnerability to HIV, unintended pregnancy, and
- Strengthened capacity of local stakeholders to plan, monitor, evaluation, and ensure the quality of prevention interventions.
Funding Information
- Estimated Funding: Subject to the availability of funds, Pact intends to select and issue six awards ranging from ZMW 1,000,000 to ZMW 3,000,000
- Period of Performance: It is anticipated that implementing partners will be engaged for an initial 12 months period, but with possibility of extension for up to four years, based on performance and availability of funds. The estimated start date of funding is 01 January 2017.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be a non-governmental, community-based, or faith-based organization;
- Be incorporated or legally registered with the appropriate entities in Zambia;
- Have a DUNS number;
- Have a strong presence in the geographical areas for which they are requesting to implement the activities;
- Have demonstrated experience implementing activities.
