The Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the U.S. global response to HIV/AIDS through the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. Through PEPFAR, the U.S. government has invested over $100 billion in the global HIV/AIDS response, the largest commitment by any nation to address a single disease in history, saving 25 million lives, preventing millions of HIV infections, and accelerating progress toward controlling the global HIV/AIDS pandemic in more than 50 countries.

- Aid in the efforts to achieve epidemic control by 2030. This is by eliminating the stigma that surrounds HIV and AIDS, reduce infection rates, increase the number of people being tested, encourage multi-month dispensing, enforce a targeted back to care model program and broader advocacy by all.
