The City of Swan is calling applications for its Place Activation Grants that create a sense of place, encourage social connections, improve safety and bring life to the streets or to specifically identified locations.
The City of Swan’s Community Art & Activation Team support the delivery of diverse arts and cultural programs in the form of Place Activation within the City’s designated Activation Zones.
This can be achieved through; events, markets, movies, performances, improvements to infrastructure, murals, sculptures, art workshops, exhibitions, temporary art installations, artist residencies, food and cultural celebrations and simply having fun – any initiatives where community are encouraged to celebrate history, cultural experiences and/ or the local place that means something to them.

Criteria

If your request is approved the following conditions will apply:
- You will be required to provide evidence of your project’s acknowledgement of financial contribution i.e. screenshots of social media posts, announcements, newsletters with appropriate use of the City’s logo.
- Funding will only be used for intended purposes as outlined in your Application Form.
- You or your Auspice organisation will need to provide a full acquittal which outlines the activation’s achievements and project benefits, within three month of its This acquittal will need to include copies of receipts, photos or other evidence of the activation and copies of promotional material.
- Partnerships will only be entered into if all and any previous City of Swan funding and or partnership obligations have been fully acquitted / met.
PLEASE NOTE: After this event has been held an acquittal will be sent for completion
