Deadline: 13/06/24
The Powering Breast Cancer Progress grant programme is a new global initiative funded by AstraZeneca and supported by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), which aims to improve breast cancer care for patients regardless of who they are, or where they live.
The programme has been initiated in recognition of the inequities in breast cancer care around the world and the significant barriers to optimal care that are contributing to avoidable breast cancer deaths.
The programme seeks to fund innovative and inspiring projects that can help transform breast cancer care for underserved patient populations – ultimately improving patient outcomes.
They also hope this initiative will enable them to learn about some of the challenges patients are facing across the globe and the different ways they can address these challenges to achieve the goal of removing barriers to optimal breast cancer care.
Program Goals
- Through the Powering Breast Cancer Progress 2024 grant programme, they aim to address some of the major barriers to accessing patient navigation services for underserved patient populations.
- To address these challenges, they are seeking grant applications for projects with a focus on any of the following:
- Increasing awareness of patient navigation for patients with breast cancer care in hard-to-reach/underserved communities
- Overcoming specific barriers to patient navigation services (such as limited resources, inconsistent models/approaches, diverse community needs)
- Enhancing healthcare system support for patient navigation services Projects can be new or they can build on existing successful projects.
Funding Information
- Financial contribution: The total fund size available for 2024 is $500,000 (USD). The funding will be provided by AstraZeneca through Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).
