Deadline: 4-Mar-25
The Southwark Council has launched the Pride Fund Programme to support the LGBTQI+ communities to create events that celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual transgender and queer identity and the culture, histories and rights of these communities.
What they will fund?
- This fund will support community events taking place from 1 June to 31 August 2025. There is a special focus on events occurring on or around Pride Month in June.
- Some examples of events that could be funded include:
- community fun days
- street parties
- drama, writing or other arts workshops
- exhibitions
- music or theatre performances
- film showings with Q & A sessions
Eligibility Criteria
- They can only accept applications from organisations or individuals who:
- are constituted and/or registered with a regulatory authority (like the Charity Commission or Companies House)
- have a bank account with at least two signatories
- Grants cannot be paid into an individual or personal bank account.
- Applicants for larger grants must be able to show previous event management experience that is appropriate for their proposed event.
- You can still apply for a smaller grant amount without previous event management experience. This allows organisations to gain experience and build their capacity.
Ineligibility Criteria
- This fund is not for:
- core costs for your organisation, like the work of existing staff
- costs for any resource that your organisation would not normally be charged for using, like a venue with an existing agreement in place
- capital costs like building works or equipment (the cost of renting items for events can be included)
- alcohol or any other intoxicant
