The U.S. Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) is currently seeking proposals for NGO Programs Benefiting Afghan, Iraqi, and other Non-Syrian Refugees and Asylum Seekers.
Funding Priorities
- PRM will consider funding only those projects that include a target beneficiary base of at least 50 percent non-Syrian refugees and asylum seekers, including Afghans and/or Iraqis, among others. Proposals are encouraged to incorporate efforts to increase the capacity of national actors to respond to the needs of refugees and displaced populations.
- Proposals must focus on Protection, including but not limited to the following activities:
- Information dissemination to beneficiaries and service providers on non-Syrian refugee and asylum seeker rights, benefits, and responsibilities;
- Case management services to strengthen and/or facilitate access of vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers to registration, healthcare, education, shelter, translation services, legal counseling, and work permits or job placements;
- Child protection interventions and/or psychosocial support services; and/or
- Basic needs assistance for new arrivals or especially vulnerable individuals and families, including persons with disabilities, LGBTI individuals, and survivors of gender-based violence, among others.
Award Information
Project proposals for organizations applying individually must not be less than $500,000, or more than $700,000per year or they will be disqualified. Consortia applications must not be less than $1.5 million, or more than $2 million per year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with IRS, other than institutions of higher education;
- Nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status with IRS, other than institutions of higher education; and
- International Organizations.
