The Centers for Disease Control (CDC), an agency of Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking applications from eligible organizations for a program entitled “Program Expansion Supplement: Supporting Laboratory Diagnosis and Monitoring to Scale up and Improve HIV/AIDS care and treatment in the Kingdom of Lesotho under PEPFAR”.
The purpose is to build laboratory capacity and improve the provision of HIV, TB, and STI/OI testing activities and disease monitoring to scale up HIV/AIDS prevention and care and treatment programs.
Focus Areas
- Increasing access to diagnosis and monitoring services through decentralization and scale up of cost-effective technologies
- Overall quality improvement of services, which will contribute to the scale up of national HIV/AIDS care and treatment services.
Funding Information: The estimated total program funding is $425,204.
Eligibility
- The awardee is expected to cover all laboratories at the national, regional, district, and health center levels.
- The awardee will work in collaboration with HHS/CDC office in Lesotho to achieve program outcomes.
- All activities implemented under this program will follow national policies, national strategic plans, and guidelines for laboratory monitoring of HIV care and treatment and priorities of CDC/PEPFAR support in Lesotho.
