Applications are now open for the Puketāpapa Strategic Relationships Grant program.
Aims
This grant will support local community groups and organisations to:
- build capacity and capability
- up-skill staff and volunteers
- become more sustainable and able to attract diverse
- funding opportunities.
Goals
Key goals of the fund are to:
- create a strong network of community groups and organisations across the Puketāpapa local board area
- promote partnerships by supporting organisations to connect with each other and to other funders
- increase sustainability
- unlock further resources.
Funding Priorities
- They welcome grant applications that align with the following priorities.
- Creating a sense of ownership and pride in Puketāpapa through community-led place making.
- Supporting migrant and refugee communities.
- Improving health, safety and well-being for the people of Puketāpapa.
- Increased use of the cycle network and other active transport modes.
- Initiatives to reduce carbon and other vehicle emissions.
- Restoration of the harbour and waterways to greater health and ecological sustainability.
- Sustainability programmes and waste minimisation.
- Recognition and affirmation of Māori culture as the foundational culture in their area.
- Reduction of socio-economic inequalities in the community.
- Support for the provision of healthy, affordable housing.
- Thriving local economy and good job opportunities.
- Higher priority for eligibility
- They will give priority to community groups delivering on priority outcomes of the local board.
Funding Information
- The minimum funding amount is $10,000. The maximum is $30,000 per year up to a total of $60,000 for multi-year funding for up to three years.

When you apply for this grant, your project must align with Puketapapa Local Board outcomes.

- Transport options that are reliable, accessible and less polluting.
- Thriving local economy with opportunity to learn, work and volunteer.
Eligibility Criteria
- The local board is looking to support community groups and organisations:
- that demonstrate a clear track record of delivering services in the Puketāpapa local board area
- have previously been funded by the local board
- delivering on priority outcomes of the local board
- that are based in and benefit people in the Puketāpapa local board area.
- Applications from regional groups must articulate the direct impact and outcomes for communities in Puketāpapa.
- Applicants must:
- be a community group, trust or organisation which must be legally constituted entity (i.e. an incorporated society, charitable trust, or purpose-led organsiation)
- submit a copy of their annual financial statements with evidence of good financial management.
