Deadline: 10-May-24
The Qantas Regional Grants is offering $2 million in support to Australian-based communities and projects that are looking to benefit their country’s regional areas.
Qantas recognise regional communities as the root of the spirit of Australia, and with the Qantas Regional Grants program now in its third year, they’re looking to help these communities sustain brighter futures by providing financial, flight and marketing support to charities, organisations, projects and individuals.
Grant Inclusions
- The Qantas Regional Grants Program offers successful applicants three types of funding.
- When applying for a Qantas Regional Grant, applicants should nominate if they are seeking cash, flights, marketing support or a combination of the grant components.
- Cash
- Cash grants are available to successful applicants each year and are paid in August. Organisations requesting funds for an event taking place prior to August each year will need to apply in the previous year to ensure funds are received in time. Applicants should intend to spend the value of any awarded grant within the 12 months following receipt.
- Flights in kind
- Qantas is proud to supply successful applicants with funds to use on Qantas flights domestically and internationally. These funds are made available via an online system that works much like an e-gift card and can be used towards any flight that Qantas operates (cannot be used for codeshare flights). Bookings can be made on qantas.com or via their sales team to the value of the awarded amount.
- Marketing Contra
- As Australia’s leading airline, Qantas also owns a variety of omni-channel communications and platforms to reach consumers throughout their customer journey including inspiration and booking, pre-flight, inflight and post flight channels.
- As a Qantas Regional Grant marketing contra recipient, successful organisations will gain unique access to their highly valued and award-winning marketing channels to raise awareness and further regional causes. This could include co-creating content for inflight commercials, Qantas Magazine advertisements and editorial pieces across their Travel Insider network, reaching high value travellers across both the leisure and corporate segments.
- Each Regional Grant recipient will receive a tailored proposal based on their application and specific marketing objectives.
- Marketing contra channels
- Qantas marketing contra channels include, but are not limited to:
- television commercial (TVC) placements throughout their inflight entertainment systems,
- access to advertising screens in Qantas Clubs and Qantas Business Clubs domestically,
- advertorial and/or editorial inclusions in their electronic direct mail (eDM) sends,
- promotion across Qantas social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn,
- promotion across qantas.com.
- Cash
- $2 million divided between marketing support, flights and cash: 750,000 in marketing support. $1,250,000 in cash and flight contra (split depending on requirements of applications).
