Quality Insights is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving health and healthcare.
Founded in 1973, they are celebrating 50 years of using quality improvement science, education, and collaboration to develop and bring best practices to health care settings and communities. As change agents, connectors and decision partners, they have assisted tens of thousands of clinicians, impacting millions of patients.
Priority Areas
- To be considered, grant requests should address one or more of the following priority areas.
- Provider Care
- Strategies to address work-related stress and burnout among clinicians and staff
- Approaches for addressing workforce deficiencies within a healthcare setting (e.g., nursing homes, hospitals, clinician offices, etc.).
- Grassroots
- Addressing health care disparities and determinants of health
- Addressing veteran-specific health issues and determinants of health
- Chronic disease management and patient self-management
- Addressing conditions associated with substance use disorder
- Education and Research
- Preventive health education
- Volunteer/peer training in a health-related field
- Data and analytics that support health sciences, continuous quality improvement, population health, and/or vulnerable populations
- Application development that addresses a health care-related need
- Health care workforce training and talent development
- Provider Care
Funding Information
- Quality Insights expects to award $100,000 in total. They estimate eight to 15 awards in amounts up to $20,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- This grant program is available to non-profit organizations and educational institutions in the following U.S. states and territories: Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Areas of Exclusion
- Quality Insights will not provide grant funding for:
- Academic scholarships
- Endowments
- General operating costs
- Individuals
- Retroactive funding
- Salary and benefits not directly supporting the goals of the grant
- Matching funds for federal or other grants and awards
- Political campaigns and legislative lobbying efforts
- Projects that exclusively serve religious purposes
- Building or capital campaigns
- Organizations or programs and/or provider services that are based primarily outside the designated geographic areas
- Debt reduction
- Projects that are not directly related to the funding priorities
- Broad, unfocused requests
- Legal services
- Equipment purchases
- Promotional giveaways/items, gift cards or gifts
- Projects that are not scalable to other organizations or settings
