Creative New Zealand is seeking Quick Response Grants in order to help New Zealand artists, arts practitioners and arts organisations to create and distribute their work.
Purposes
Quick Response Grants help New Zealand artists, arts practitioners and arts organisations to:
- research and create work
- present and distribute their work nationally and internationally
- develop skills including mentoring, internships, workshops and conferences
- undertake community or collaborative projects, including artist or writer residences
- undertake projects with international connections
- publish catalogues, monographs, journals, books and critical writing.
Grant Information
- The maximum amount of $7,500.
- Lower limits apply to these activities:
- mentoring: $5000
- websites: $5000 for developing a new site; $5000 for placing work on an established site.
Eligibility Criteria
- To apply for Creative New Zealand funding, applicants:
- must be a New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or organisation (overseas arts organisations or New Zealand artists based overseas, may be funded only if the project directly benefits New Zealand arts)
- cannot be a Creative New Zealand staff member or a member of the Arts Council
- cannot be funded by a government agency, tertiary education organisation (TEO) or local authority unless the proposed activity goes beyond their core activity.
- Project or activities must directly benefit New Zealand arts, artists or practitioners.
- Applicants must have a track record of experience and success- this means applicants must have:
- recognition from peers or experts
- achieved a degree of critical or sales success
- specialised training or practical experience.
