The Reconciliation South Australia is seeking applications for the Reconciliation Education Grants Program to enable education settings across South Australia to implement deliverables from the Narragunnawali Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) with a focus on connecting with First Nations community, and creating long term sustainable and transformative change.
Funding Information
- Grants of $2000 only are available
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for this funding you must be a South Australian –
- State funded preschool, primary or secondary school
- Association of Independent Schools preschool, primary or secondary school
- Catholic Education preschool, primary or secondary school
- Early learning setting (early learning or long day care)
- Out of school hours care setting
- Applicants may come from metropolitan, regional or remote locations
Criteria
- Projects MUST engage and remunerate First Nations peoples or businesses to consult, deepen or provide ongoing learning as part of the project
- Projects must engage the whole school community (e.g. not individual students/child)
- Schools and early learning settings must have a public RAP or be able to show clear steps on how this will be achieved in the duration of the project projects will be assessed on their sustainability, longevity and transformational quality
- Capital works or the installation of required structures will not be approved (e.g. flag poles).
