Applicants are invited to apply for the Contest Every Race Grant Program, a core program revolving around recruiting Democratically-aligned candidates for local office and providing them with the support they need to file and run for office.
The grant program supports local, non-urban Democratic Parties with funding, texting, coaching, and training.
Benefits
- If you are accepted into this program, they will provide:
- Up to $600 monthly grants paid quarterly upon successful completion of monthly goals (up to $2,400 per year total for completing each goal).
- Virtual monthly training to prepare you for each month’s action goal with a short quiz operational and staff support to assist you in meeting grant requirements.
- Free texting to reach Democrats and recruit volunteers in your county (they send and respond to texts and return the data to you).
- Access to briefings and training sessions hosted by experienced organizers, partners, and state-specific trainers/experts.
- Connections to a thriving nationwide network of organizers and activists.
Eligibility Criteria
- To be considered for this program, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be committed to recruiting and supporting Democratic candidates with CER’s support
- Be a local Democratic party or Democratically affiliated organization (parish/county/town/city/legislative district/women’s club/etc)
- Have a chair, organization member, or volunteer leader who is willing to attend monthly trainings and complete monthly goals
- Have a countywide population smaller than or equal to 700,000
- Be able to receive grant payments via direct deposit
- Have access to Votebuilder, EveryAction, or PDI.
