The DuPage County Board has launched the Small Agency Grant Program.
This Program was funded through American Rescue Plan Act (“ARPA”) interest income, and targeted small nonprofits that did not receive funds through either ARPA or its predecessor program, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES”).
Funding Information
- The DuPage County Board allocated $1,050,000 for “Round 2” of the Small Agency Grant Program.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible Agencies must:
- Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
- Have a 501(c)(3) status that has not been revoked by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
- Have revenues limited to either:
- Annual revenue under $300,000 based on the most recent AG990-IL form; or
- Average annual revenue under $300,000 based on past three years of filed AG990-IL tax forms
- Be in good standing based on the Illinois Secretary of State’s (SOS) Certificate of Good Standing at the time of application
- Be located in DuPage County
- Provide services to DuPage County residents
- Provide a specific program and/or service in an area of human services or economic development including:
- Economic development including job readiness and literacy
- Education and mentoring
- Housing and shelter
- Behavioral health services
- Substance use disorder treatment
- Food assistance
Ineligibility Criteria
- Ineligible agencies include:
- Agencies that are not in good standing with the IL Secretary of State at the time of application
- Agencies that have conflicts of interest, such as a District Board Member serving on the Agency’s Board
- Agencies that are either 501(c)(4), 501(c)(7), or 501(c)(19) nonprofits
- Agencies that received funding for “Round 1” of the Small Agency Grant Program but failed to submit the required yearend reporting
- Agencies that have no financial need for the funding
