The SAMPRA Development Fund invites cultural organisations that are passionate about music development and cultural diversity to apply to the SDF for funding.
The Fund’s vision is to promote the value of South African recorded music with the aim of providing SAMPRA members with strategic opportunities to stimulate their growth, development, sustainability and social awareness.
Funding Information
- The maximum amount an applicant can be awarded by the Fund is Eighty Thousand Rand (R80 000.00), exclusive of VAT, where applicable.
Eligibility Criteria
- The SAMPRA Development Fund (“the Fund”) will consider applications from cultural organisations whose objective is to promote and preserve South Africa’s diverse heritage.
- Applicants must be based in South Africa.
- Applicants must be registered entities.
- Applicants must have staged at least (2) cultural events in the last two (2) years.
- Applicants must utilise SAMPRA licensed venues:
- Communication to the public
- Broadcasters
- The event applied for must feature live performances and not pre-recorded performances.
- Projects applied for should demonstrate potential for local, regional, provincial, or national appeal.
