The Embassy of France in Wellington is pleased to announce an open call for the 2023 Pacific Fund, funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The Fund for economic, social, cultural and scientific cooperation in the Pacific, referred to as the “Pacific Fund”, is a tool for regional cooperation for France in the Pacific. Projects will need to contribute to the regional insertion of French collectivities: New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Wallis and Futuna.
Themes
- The following themes will be prioritised:
- Health security (fight against endemic diseases, non-transmissible or due to infectious vectors) or food security (management of fishery resources).
- Fight against climate change, environmental protection and response to disaster risks.
- Projects of an economic nature implementing the know-how of French territories or benefiting the latter and contributing to the strengthening of economic exchanges at the regional level.
Funding Information
- The projects must be jointly financed for at least 50% of the total sum of eligible expenses.
- Expenses associated to salaries must not exceed 20% of the total amount of the project.
Eligibility Criteria
- Projects must be submitted by the partner from New Zealand, the Cook Islands, or Samoa and must involve at least one partner from New Caledonia, French Polynesia, or Wallis and Futuna.
- Preference will be given to projects highlighting planned efforts for communication.
