The Shoalhaven City Council is seeking applications for its Arts Board grants.
The Shoalhaven Arts Board have allocated funds for a Grants program to support individuals and groups with activities related to professional development and improvement of the Arts within the Shoalhaven. These grants will provide an equitable process of access to financial support to individuals, local non-profit and non-government organisations for artistic activities.
Grant Rounds
Shoalhaven Arts Board is offering two grants rounds to support Shoalhaven artists:
- Shoalhaven Arts Board Arts Practitioners Grant;
- A Sense of Place Grant.
Grant Information
- Shoalhaven Arts Board Arts Practitioners Grants up to $3,000 are available for activities that support individual artists, arts workers and / or small groups to further develop and enhance their skill-set, connect with peers, and build sustainable careers through professional development activities;
- A Sense of Place Grants up to $10,000 are available for an art project with a defined public outcome. The project should be ambitious and actively connect and engage audiences within the Shoalhaven.
Eligible Activities
- Arts Practitioners Grant might include:
- Mentorships/residencies;
- Research trips;
- Performances and/or presentations at approved events or festivals;
- Forum/conference/workshop attendance;
- Professional skills development;
- Masterclasses/extended study;
- Domestic or international travel to assist with research/skills development;
- Assistance with venue hire for the purposes of a creative development /workspace/exhibition.
Eligible Activities
- Sense of Place Grant might include:
- Development or promotion of art-based exhibitions;
- Film production;
- Music composition and presentation;
- Literary and theatrical enterprises;
- Projects with a strong community cultural development framework.
Eligibility Criteria
- Shoalhaven Arts Board Arts Practitioners Grant
- Individuals or small groups resident and operating in the Shoalhaven;
- Groups must be a partnership, group or unincorporated entity with an ABN (or able to work with a third party to administer the grant on your behalf);
- Non-profit and non-government.
- A Sense of Place Grant
- Organisations and individuals residing in the Shoalhaven;
- Non-profit and non-government.
