The UN Joint Program “Strengthening Human Rights on Both Banks of the Dniester ” has announced the Round 2 of Grant Program for mobilization of vulnerable groups on the left bank of the Dniester River.
Joint UN program “Strengthening human rights on both banks of the Dniester” is carried out by the UN Representation in the Republic of Moldova, with the financial support of Sweden, in partnership with civil society organizations, decision-makers and professionals on both banks of the Dniester River.
The program aims to promote a commitment to reforms aimed at respecting human rights in general and respecting the rights of persons with disabilities, children, Roma, people living with or suffering from HIV, the rights of detainees and persons in state custody, women and vulnerable children and the rights of drug users in particular, promoting the establishment of bilateral cooperation, exchange of knowledge and development, based on modern working methods, existing on both banks of the Dniester River.
To achieve this goal, the Joint UN Program “Strengthening human rights on both banks of the Dniester” launches round 2 of the small grants program, open to civil society organizations, registered on the right bank of the Dniester River or on both banks. The duration of the implementation of the projects, financed within this grant competition, will not exceed 12 months.
Funding Information
- Projects worth up to US $ 5,000 will be selected in this call for proposals.
- This amount may be increased by a maximum of US $ 2,000 if the proposal will contain knowledge exchange/experience/study visits for representatives of developing organizations/initiative groups on both banks of the Dniester River.
Criteria
The project proposal package will contain the following documents:
- The proposal form (which will include the requested budget and the project implementation program), is completed in Russian, Romanian or English. Forms completed by hand will not be accepted;
- Copy of the registration certificate, which confirms that the applicant is a legal entity registered on the right bank of the Dniester River. In the case of a consortium, at least one of its members must be registered on the right bank;
- Copy of the partnership agreement, signed by all stakeholders, specifying the roles of each partner in the grant process;
- CVs of the project manager and team members involved in the project implementation process (in a single format for the entire team);
- If possible, a brief summary of the organization’s work, which submits the proposal;
- Other documents related to the file, necessary to increase the level of trust in the applicant from the UN and to supplement the substantiation of the project.
