The Sophie and Karl Binding Foundation is seeking applications for its grant program to support projects in the areas of environment, social, education and culture in Switzerland.
The foundation Sophie and Karl Binding understands itself as a foundation that works to promote public utility and is independent on the political and religious level.
Goals
- promote and strengthen social cohesion and equality in Switzerland and the integration and mutual understanding of the different language regions of the country;
- to contribute to the conservation and development of the values and natural, moral and cultural assets that are fundamental to Swiss identity.

- Environment: protection of the
- In the field of the environment their programmatic theme is the protection of the landscape in Switzerland. The questions that deal with this topic will therefore in principle have preferential treatment.
- The focal points of interest are in particular:
- Conservation or restoration of natural and cultural landscapes
- Stopping the uncontrolled expansion
- The interventions against the destruction of the landscape
- Social landscape : child and youth integration
- In the social sphere, their chosen theme is the integration of children and young people in society. The questions that deal with this topic will generally receive preferential treatment.
- The focal points of interest are in particular:
- social, cultural and educational integration of native and immigrant children and young people
- the integration of young people into the world of work
- Training: cohesion
- In the field of training, their chosen theme is the promotion of understanding and cohesion in Switzerland. The questions that deal with this topic will generally receive preferential treatment.
- The focal points of interest are in particular:
- Promotion of understanding between the various linguistic regions of Switzerland
- Promoting the linguistic competence of young people in other national languages
- Cultural exchange beyond the linguistic borders of Switzerland
- Culture: cultural heritage
- In the cultural sector, their chosen theme is the conservation of cultural heritage. The questions that deal with this theme will in principle have preferential treatment.
- The focal point of interest is in particular the conservation of significant cultural heritage for the identity of Switzerland, for example:
- Preservation of important architectural and artistic monuments (without restoration of ruins)
- Conservation of collections, libraries, artistic and cultural legacies
