Deadline: 4-Dec-23
The Farnham Town Council is seeking applications for the South Street Trust Grants program.
The South Street Trust was set up following the sale of the Farnham School of Science and Art in 1986/87. The school was established by local philanthropists James and John Knight in 1880 for the ‘instruction of children and adults in drawing, painting, modelling, designing for architecture, manufacture and decoration and for no other purpose’.
Who can apply?
- Farnham organisations who wish to apply for funding for an art-based educational activity.
Grant Criteria
- Projects must have a visual arts creative input, such as painting, sculpture, textiles etc.
- Projects outside the Farnham area may be considered depending on how many beneficiaries are from the Farnham area.
- For the purposes of the South Street Fund, the definition of art does not include performing arts such as drama, music or dance or photography. Applicants connected to these types of project will need to demonstrate the creative connection to visual arts for funding to be considered.
