The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation is seeking applications for its Neighborhood Grants to support organizations working at the community level, providing nutrition education and healthy food access to kids.
From school and community gardens to youth cooking classes, their partners offer a variety of programs that are interactive, educational, and fun! Since 2016, the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation has awarded more than $3.5 million in Neighborhood Grants to 320 nonprofit organizations.
The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation was founded in 2015 to drive lasting change in the health of their communities. By supporting programs nationwide that broaden access to fresh food and nutrition education programs, the Foundation empowers individuals to live healthier lives.
Funding Information
- With grants ranging in size from $5,000 to $10,000, they support organizations that help children develop healthy eating habits that last a lifetime.
- The Neighborhood Grant application will open on April 1, 2022 and will close on May 31, 2022 at 11:59pm PT. The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation will communicate all grant decisions by August 31, 2022.
Eligibility Criteria
The Neighborhood Grant program is available to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with a presence in cities and communities where Sprouts Farmers Market operates stores. Applicants must demonstrate strong mission alignment and promote community wellness.
Required Documents
The following documents are required for your application to be considered:
- IRS 501(c)(3) letter verifying nonprofit status
- A current W9 for your organization
- Board Membership List with Names and Affiliations
- Program Budget and Operating Budget (template provided)
- Audited Financials (or Financial Statements Prepared by a CPA)
- Organization's Most Recent 990
