Deadline: 20 October 2016
The Stonewall Community Foundation is seeking proposals to benefit LGBTQ Youth with an aim to strengthen the LGBTQ community in New York City by thoughtfully engaging donors and investing in dynamic organizations. The Foundation seeks to fund organizations or projects that are addressing challenges to service provision in unique or novel ways.
The foundation recognizes that direct service is a primary—and necessary—strategy in meeting the myriad needs of LGBTQ youth, but reaching and fully supporting youth across their city can be difficult: funder-imposed restrictions, lack of resources, and cost of access are just a few of the challenges that affect both the youth and the nonprofits attempting to serve them.
The foundation is interested in funding organizations or projects that are pioneering solutions to overcoming these challenges while benefiting LGBTQ youth.
Preference will be given to organizations clearly demonstrating intent to involve LGBTQ youth in planning, leadership, and/or evaluation.
Funding Information
One-year grants of up to $4,000

Any organization or project, including those that are not LGBTQ, may apply, provided that they:
