Deadline: 19-Jun-25
Spain’s Ministry of Culture has launched an aid programme specifically designed for non‑profit cultural organisations.
This funding, managed through budget allocation 24.04.334A.484 of the Ministry’s 2023 expenditure budget, aims to strengthen the networks of well‑established, professional cultural entities at a national level.
Eligible organisations include associations, foundations, federations, platforms, cooperatives, and other legal entities with a nonprofit status.
The scope of support is broad. Projects eligible for this aid encompass a wide range of cultural activities, including organizing exhibitions, promoting music and performing arts, advancing film and cinema initiatives, supporting literary projects, and financing both research and digitisation efforts.
The call also embraces the development of cultural itineraries and the dynamics of cultural participation, cultural education and training, engaging audiences, preserving tangible cultural heritage, and fostering cultural and creative industries.
Additionally, entities working within cultural institutions or public bodies acting in a nonprofit capacity may also apply, provided their activities align with the cultural objectives outlined.
A minimum grant amount has been established to ensure substantial impact: each proposed initiative must request at least €10,000 and should not exceed €200,000.
There is no cap on the total project cost, but the requested aid must be at least 20% of the eligible budget. The assistance itself can cover up to 80% of eligible expenses; additionally, up to 5% extra can be included to cover overheads.
Eligible costs include staff salaries linked directly to the project, procurement of goods and equipment, required subcontracts and services essential to carrying out the activity, travel and accommodation expenses, communication, dissemination activities, and other fileable costs associated with the initiative.
Applications are being accepted from June 9, 2025, with the deadline set for June 19, 2025. All submissions must be made through the Ministry’s online application platform. Once the evaluation process is completed, approved projects will receive their grant through a one‑off payment based on the awarded amount.
This public funding opportunity is open to Spanish‑registered non‑profit entities with a demonstrated track record in cultural sectors. Projects must either be national in scope or include at least five provinces (Spanish mainland or island territories). The projects must be set to commence after the call opens and conclude by November 30, 2026.
