The Kawerau District Council is accepting submissions for the Community Grant Scheme to enhance the well-being of Kawerau people by supporting groups and/or services that improve the quality of life of local residents.
Funding Information
- Council allocates approximately $21,000 per year to this fund. Successful applicants are eligible for up to $3,000 per application.
Eligibility Criteria
- Any non-profit organisation which has the ability to deliver a project that has a significant benefit to the people within the community may apply.
- The Scheme is available to any non-profit group that provides a service which enhances the quality of life of Kawerau residents.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Projects that will not be eligible for this fund include:
- groups that have already received Council funding from the Community Grant Scheme during the current financial year;
- arts or cultural events, as these types of events are covered under the Creative Communities Scheme;
- events that would normally be covered under the Events Management Fund;
- services that would normally be covered by funding from Central Government; and
- recipients who have not supplied accountability record for previous funding.
