Submissions are now open for the Rogers Youth Grants Program to support Canadian community organizations that deliver educational and employment programs to youth ages 12-29.
They aim to prioritize youth who are furthest from opportunities due to socioeconomic and other barriers and partner with organizations that run programs that integrate education, mentorship and workforce development to empower underserved youth to achieve their full potential.
Funding Information
- Rogers Youth Grants are valued at $10,000 or $25,000.
Expected Outcomes
- Recipient organizations must track a minimum of 1 out of 3 metrics outlined below:
- Number of participants that have reported improved academic performance or improvement in school attendance after participating in your organization’s program.
- Number of participants that have secured employment, internships, or enroll in higher education programs after participating in your organization’s program.
- Number of participants that have reported increased confidence and emotional well-being in pursuing either higher education or employment.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations must be a charitable or non-profit organization.
- Grants are intended to be for one-year (no multi-year agreements).
- Organizations must have a sustained record of achievement and be in good financial standing.
- Programs must have a measurable social impact and be focused on programs and projects rather than bricks and mortar.
- Overhead costs for the organization must not exceed 30%.
- Your application should be accompanied by your organization’s most recent audited financial statement conducted by a public accounting firm/professional (completed in the past two years).
- The following types of programs are eligible for funding:
- Mentorship
- Core academic training, facilitating academic achievement
- Career readiness/jobs-based skills-building
- Structured learning aimed at increasing the likelihood of pursuing higher education or employment
