The Guelph Community Foundation is accepting submissions for the Sleeman Better Water Fund Program to support non-profit organizations focused on responsible water use (conservation and preservation) or accessibility of clean water in communities and is nationally focused with special interest in the regions in which they have operations, namely BC, Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec.

- Values: In alignment with the established Environmental Policy, Sleeman is committed to doing the right thing to:
- Reduce the impact on climate change
- Promote responsible water use
- Engage people in sustaining the natural environment
Funding Information
- Funding requests are a maximum of $40,000 per application.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a registered charity operating in Canada. Ideally their scope will be Canada-wide, specifically BC, AB, ON and QC. However, multiple grants may be issued to several charities to achieve the same geographical reach.
- Funding must connect to one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Specifically:
- SDG 6: Clean water and sanitation – Promote responsible water use
- SDG 13: Climate Action – Target 13.3 – Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning
- SDG 15: Life on Land – Target 15.1 – By 2020, ensure the conservation, restoration and sustainable use of terrestrial and inland freshwater ecosystems and their services, in particular forests, wetlands, mountains and drylands, in line with obligations under international agreements.
