The Country Support Mechanism of the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF) in Kenya is pleased to announce a call for expressions of interest from organisations to become recipients of funding from GCERF’s Core Funding Mechanism.
The GCERF is an independent Swiss foundation established to serve as the first global effort to support local, community-level initiatives aimed at strengthening resilience against violent extremist agendas.
The purpose of an Expression of Interest is for an applicant for GCERF funding to show that it meets GCERF’s established prerequisites to be considered and to demonstrate that it possesses the requisite capabilities to be Principal Recipient.
Eligibility Criteria
GCERF has two prerequisites and five requisite capabilities for the role of Principal Recipient:
- Prerequisites
- Appropriate legal registration.
- Willingness to accept and fulfil the role of a Principal Recipient .
- Capabilities
- Established relationships and credibility with the communities and population groups in the geographical areas identified in the Call.
- Experience and capacity in programme design and management, and project cycle management.
- Experience and capacity in financial management and in the management of and accounting for international donor grant funding.
- Experience and capacity in working within a Consortium and/or managing subrecipients.
- Experience and capacity in community-level initiatives that address the local drivers of violent extremism and strengthen resilience against violent extremist agendas.
