Deadline: 7-Mar-25
The Sustain the Arts (stART) Fund is an initiative by the National Arts Council (NAC), supported by the private sector to boost the long-term sustainability of small arts organisations, and to nurture a culture of giving to the arts.
The importance of the stART Fund is especially significant as the COVID-19 pandemic has dealt a heavy financial blow to the local arts scene. Through supporting the local arts groups, the stART Fund will help to ensure that the arts live on to create and present quality programmes that contribute to the vibrancy of Singapore’s arts and culture ecosystem.
Objectives
- The stART fund is administrated by NAC, and is set-up with the 2 key objectives:
- To fund programmes with community impact that enable more people to enjoy the arts, including digitally enhanced arts experiences, and programmes that encourage reflection of Singapore’s cultural identity
- To assist small arts groups to establish robust governance structures by scaling up to obtain Charity or Institute of Public Character (IPC) status
Funding Information
- The quantum for each grant under the stART fund is estimated to be between $20,000 to $50,000 for each programme and/or organisation.
Eligibility Criteria
- Arts organisations which meet the following criteria are eligible to receive short-term support from the stART Fund:
- Registered with the Commissioner of Charities (COC), Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) or the Registry of Societies (ROS); and
- Total Operating Expenditure (TOE) of less than SGD1 million.
