The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) has launched a Small Grants Program to support short-term projects in the following thematic areas:
- Monitoring electoral and democratic processes,
- Electoral Education,
- Independent reflection of events of public and national interest in the media.
The Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency (SDC) is an international co-operation agency within the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland. The SDC is responsible for coordinating the technical assistance and humanitarian aid provided by the Swiss Confederation. In the Republic of Moldova, SDC is represented by the Swiss Cooperation Office, which is also the Embassy of the Swiss Confederation in the Republic of Moldova.
Grant Information
- Projects submitted in the contest will require a single contribution from SDC of at least 2’000 Swiss francs (CHF) and maximum 20’000 CHF and will have a implementation duration of up to 6 months (September 2018 – February 2019) .
- The financial support provided by SDC will account for no more than 80% of the total cost of the project.
Eligibility Criteria
The following types of legal entities registered in the Republic of Moldova can be financed:
- national and local non-governmental organizations and
- national and local media institutions that have an independent editorial policy, serve the public interest and demonstrate commitment to ethical and professional journalism.
