The Earley Charity’s Grant Program for Organisations
Categories
- Applications for £3,000 and under
- Applications for over £3,000
Funding Information
- Applications should be for one-off non-recurrent funding for specific projects or equipment. They do not accept applications for open-ended salaries, running/core costs or general charitable appeals.
- Grants to organisations are normally in the range of £500 to £5,000. The Trustees do consider requests for larger amounts from organisations which they know well.
Area of Benefit
- The area of benefit is defined as “the Ancient Liberty of Earley and the neighbourhood thereof”. In practice this means all of Earley (Lower Earley and “old Earley”), the northern part of Shinfield, Winnersh, south Reading (including Whitley), east Reading (including Newtown), central Reading (as far west as the Reading West railway line), Sonning and lower Caversham.
Eligibility Criteria
- They welcome applications from local charitable, voluntary and community organisations working to help and support people living within their area of benefit.
Ineligible
- Generally they do not accept applications from public sector bodies or national organisations. Nor do we fund religious activities or general appeals.
Deadlines
- Applications for £3,000 and under: 6 January 2023
- Applications for over £3,000: 3 February 2023.
