The Embassy of the Czech Republic has announced a call for proposals for Ukrainian NGOs in the field of media literacy, human rights, anticorruption and judicial reforms in order to support democracy and human rights, using the Czech Republic’s recent experience with the social transition and democratization of the country. The programme underpins the importance of civil society in democratization processes. The program is administrated by the Human Rights & Transition Policy Department that functions as an implementing agency. For this call only Ukrainian NGOs are eligible.
Priority Areas
- Promoting Critical Thinking and Media Literacy in Ukrainian Public
- Advocacy, Advising and Implementation of Anti-corruption and Judicial Reforms
- Monitoring, Analysis and Advocacy of Human Rights in Crimea and/or Luhansk and Donetsk Oblasts
Funding Information and Duration
- The average contribution is expected to be in the range of 500000 – 2000000 CZK (approx. 530000 – 2100000 UAH) for each individual project. Projects in general should not be smaller than 500000 CZK.
- The call for proposals seeks projects that are of a maximum duration of four months (starting in July and due to the end of the fiscal year finishing on 31st October 2017).
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for a grant the applicant must be
- a legal entity
- a civil society organization
- established in Ukraine.
