The Max and Victoria Dreyfus Foundation is seeking applications for its grants program to support museums, cultural, and performing arts programs; schools, hospitals, educational and skills training programs, programs for youth, seniors, and the handicapped; environmental and wildlife protection activities; and other community-based organizations and their programs.
Funding Information
The grant amount ranges from $1,000 to $20,000.
Eligibility Criteria
The Foundation does not make grants to individuals. Grants are considered for IRS-qualified non-profit organizations located within the United States.
How to Apply
- Organizations seeking support from the Foundation may submit a letter of request, not exceeding three pages in length, which includes a brief description of the purpose of the organization, and a brief outline of the program or project for which funding is sought.
- In addition to the letter, the request should include a 200-word synopsis of the proposal. The request should also include an itemized budget for the program or project, along with the total operating budget for the organization. Please do not submit bound financial statements or copies of audit reports.
- To ensure that your organization is a qualified grantee under the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, a copy of the IRS letter stating your Section 501(c) (3) tax-exempt/not a private foundation status, must be included with the application.
- Application packages should be sent in hard copy via postal mail.
