The U.S. Department of Education is seeking applications for “Educational Technology, Media, and Materials for Individuals with Disabilities—Stepping-up Technology Implementation” with the purpose to:
- Improve results for students with disabilities by promoting the development, demonstration, and use of technology
- Support educational activities designed to be of educational value in the classroom for students with disabilities
- Provide support for captioning and video description that is appropriate for use in the classroom
- Provide accessible educational materials to students with disabilities in a timely manner.

Eligibility Criteria
- State governments
- Private institutions of higher education
- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Independent school districts
- Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments)
- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
- County governments
- Special district governments
- Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- For profit organizations other than small businesses
- City or township governments
- Eligible Applicants: SEAs; LEAs, including public charter schools that are considered LEAs under State law; IHEs; other public agencies; private nonprofit organizations; freely associated States and outlying areas; Indian tribes or tribal organizations; and for-profit organizations.
