The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS), in partnership with the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division, is seeking applications to provide implementation and technical assistance support services to the National Crime Statistics Exchange (NCS-X) Initiative.
BJS seeks applications from organizations or project teams to serve as the NCS-X Implementation Team and provide implementation and technical assistance support services to NCS-X grantees, sample agencies, state UCR Programs, and other NCS-X stakeholders.
Project Areas
Applicants are asked to support the NCS-X implementation effort in 4 main project areas:
- assistance in implementation planning for state UCR Programs and local LE agencies transitioning to NIBRS
- technical assistance to state Programs and local agencies
- providing technological and analytical support to BJS and other NCS-X stakeholders to develop a suite of implementation options and methods of working with incident-based crime data
- management and coordination of ongoing and new NCS-X activities.

Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible applicants are limited to nonprofit and for-profit (commercial) organizations (including tribal nonprofit and for-profit organizations), organizations, and institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education).
- For-profit organizations (and other recipients) must forgo any profit or management fee.
- Eligible nonprofit organizations must be exempt from taxation under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, and have a 501(c)(3) designation.
