The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) is currently seeking applications for its “Serving Crime Victims with Disabilities: A Seamless Approach from First Response to Healing” to support victims with disabilities.
Objectives
OVC anticipates that updating and expanding these resources will be achieved through the following objectives:
- Assessment of the state of the field with respect to first response to and services for victims with disabilities.
- Identification of existing resources in this area, determination of what tools are still needed by professionals, and incorporation of these needs into new or updated materials and tools.
- Development of new web-based, print, and DVD resources.

Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible applicants are limited to public agencies, colleges and universities (including tribal institutions of higher education), and nonprofit and for-profit organizations (including tribal nonprofit and for-profit organizations).
- For-profit organizations (as well as other recipients) must forgo any profit or management fees. Applicants must demonstrate the knowledge and experience necessary to identify and work collaboratively with key stakeholders at the national, tribal, regional, state, and local levels to develop materials that are national in scope, easily accessible, and customizable for local jurisdictions and programs.
- The applicant must also demonstrate an ability to develop innovative publications both online and in print and effectively disseminate information to the field through a variety of methods.
