The Office of International Visitors, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA/PE/V), United States Department of State (DOS), announces an open competition for up to eight assistance awards to administer the FY 2018 International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) to build mutual understanding between the U.S. and other nations through carefully designed short-term visits to the U.S. for current and emerging leaders.

Funding Information
- Floor of Award Range: $640,000
- Ceiling of Award Range: $6,600,000
- Approximate Average Award: $2,100,000
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications may be submitted by U.S. public and private non-profit organizations meeting the provisions described in Internal Revenue Code section 26 USC 501(c)(3).
- Bureau grant guidelines require that organizations with less than four years of experience in conducting international exchanges be limited to $130,000 in Bureau funding.
- ECA anticipates making up to eight awards, with a minimum award amount of $640,000 pending the availability of FY 2018 funds, to support administrative costs required to implement this exchange program. Therefore, organizations with less than four years’ experience in conducting international exchanges are ineligible to apply under this competition.
