The United States Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina has announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for PRM 2018 Julia Taft Refugee Fund.
Project Themes
PRM’s Taft Refugee Fund is intended to meet gaps in refugee assistance needs that can be supported by projects of up to $25,000 that are not addressed by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), other international organizations (IOs), or non-governmental organizations (NGOs) receiving U.S. government funding.
To serve as an example, the projects could, but are not limited to, focus on one of the following themes:
- Income generation for returnees,
- Provision of potable water to remote returnee communities,
- Equipping of an agricultural center,
- Furnishing and equipping of computer lab for internally displaced persons,
- Livelihood activities for vulnerable returnees, refugees, and displaced persons
- Agricultural training for vegetable production,
- Job training for returnees, etc.
Funding Information
- Award Amounts: Awards may range up to USD 25,000
- Total Available Funding: USD 25,000
- Length of Performance Period: 12 months
Eligibility Criteria
Only local non-profit organizations (NGOs) that are based and legally registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina are eligible to apply.
