2018 marks a very special occasion – the Centennial of the founding of Czechoslovakia and the launch of U.S. – Czech diplomatic relations. This special centennial grants round is seeking proposals with outstanding merit focused on Czech audiences which highlight- in an innovative and creative way – the strong partnership and cooperation of two countries in areas including:
- Promoting democracy, good governance & rule of law
- Strengthening of civil society
- Security cooperation
- Human rights & minority integration
- Entrepreneurship and Innovation
- Sports
- Cultural programing
- Education
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
- Gender Equality
- Energy Security
Funding Information
U.S. Embassy Prague invites institutions, organizations and individuals to submit projects for funding up to $ 15,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only not-for-profit entities and projects will be considered for funding.
- Individuals are not eligible to apply.
- Institutions and individuals must have a proven track record of executing superior events, workshops, programs, etc.
- Proposals must be focused on audiences in the Czech Republic.
Note: The Embassy grants CANNOT be used to fund religious organizations or partisan political activity; trade activities; fundraising campaigns; charitable activities; humanitarian aid; commercial projects; scientific research; projects whose primary aim is the institutional development and operational costs of the organization; or representational expenses (lunch, alcoholic beverages, flowers etc.).
