The U.S. Embassy in Windhoek and the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs (EB) has announced an open competition for organizations to submit applications for “Fiscal Transparency Innovation Fund” with an aim to strengthen Namibia’s fiscal transparency.
Project Objectives
- To provide an independent review of the Office of the Auditor-General’s audit processes and publicly available audit reports in order to accurately assess whether it is effectively engaging the public on the government’s annual financial statements.
- To develop specific and actionable recommendations which can realistically be implemented by the Office of the Auditor-General in order to improve the Auditor-General’s effectiveness and in a manner that allows the public to understand the government’s execution of its budget, particularly with regard to capital expenditure projects.
Funding Information
Total available funding up to a maximum of USD 58,633.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible Applicants: Not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/nongovernmental organizations (international or local).
- Cost Sharing or Matching: This program does not require cost sharing.
