Deadline: 31 January 2018
The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Mission in Uganda has announced an open competition for organizations interested in submitting applications for a small grant to implement and manage an entrepreneurship mentorship project.
This project will train and mentor nascent businesses or organizations in order to support job creation and economic development. In order to successfully implement the project, the grantee must collaborate closely with the Embassy in order to scout for and select businesses that will take part.
The implementer will be expected to organize entrepreneurship training and mentorship activities for the selected participants. The participating businesses will be given a small seed capital to implement what has been learned during the course of the training and mentorship period, and the partner must include an evaluation and follow-up metric as part of the program. Please note the seed amounts are to be included in the overall budget by the implementing partner. This project supports one of embassy’s main Mission goals, to improve Uganda’s education, health, and economic development systems.
