The U.S. Embassy in Ljubljana, Slovenia has announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) entitled “Cultural Grants Program” for Slovenian cultural institutions and civil society organizations.
The Embassy continues to offer grants for well-conceived and managed projects that encourage and promote cultural and artistic cooperation, collaboration and exchange between the United States and Slovenia. Projects should:
- promote the values and culture of American society; present American history, society, art, or other culture to Slovenian audiences;
- promote cultural cooperation between Slovenia and the United States.
Funding Information
Typically grant awards range from $3,000 to $5,000, though some exceptional projects are funded up to $10,000, and supplement other funding.
Program Themes
- For this grant period, consideration will be given to project proposals focusing on promotion of American values and culture, and presentation of American history, society, art, or other culture.
- The Embassy is particularly interested in supporting projects on these themes that encourage exchange, debate and promotion of U.S.-Slovenia cultural cooperation.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible Applicants:
- Slovenian educational and research institutions, public entities, and not-for-profits/NGOs/social enterprises.
