The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Consulate General in Mumbai (PAS Mumbai) has announced a project entitled “LGBT Pride Month Film Festival 2020”.
The three-day program in Mumbai would center around the screenings to the general public of seven to ten American films that outline the legal and social aspects of the struggle for gay rights in the United States or that illustrate how the perceptions of gay people by Hollywood and the general public have changed over time, in particular how gay characters are portrayed in film.
Program Goals
- Reinforce their shared values by broadening the relationships between their governments and citizens to deepen trust and create new opportunities for people to experience the tangible benefits of their partnership.
- India and the United States expand avenues to strengthen the people-to-people relationship.

Eligibility Criteria
- Eligibility is open to all non-profit, non-governmental organizations. Individuals are not eligible for an award under this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). Organizations may sub-contract with other entities, but only one, non-profit, non-governmental entity can be the prime recipient of the award. When sub-contracting with other entities, the responsibilities of each entity must be clearly defined in the proposal.
- Cost sharing or matching is not required for this funding opportunity.
- Pre-award costs are not an allowable expense for this funding opportunity.
