The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad (PAS Hyderabad) is seeking proposals for its program entitled “Arts for Social Change” to design and implement a series of arts programs and events to address a variety of social issues.
PAS Hyderabad is seeking creative and innovative uses of different artistic mediums to address a variety of social issues including but not limited to education, women’s empowerment, gender-based violence, trafficking in persons, and pluralism, tolerance and inclusion.
Program Goals
- Strengthen people-to-people ties between the United States and India through exchanges of information, experiences and expertise using art as a medium and platform.
- Strengthen the skills and capacity of local organizations to develop their capacity on using arts programs to address issues of concern to local communities.

Estimated Total Program Funding:
- Award Ceiling: $32,000
- Award Floor: $30,000
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligibility is open to all non-profit, non-governmental organizations. Individuals are not eligible for an award under this program.
- Organizations may sub-contract with other entities, but only one, non-profit, non-governmental entity can be the prime recipient of the award. When sub-contracting with other entities, the responsibilities of each entity must be clearly defined in the proposal.
- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
- Private institutions of higher education
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Cost sharing or matching is not required for this funding program.
- Pre-award costs are not an allowable expense for this funding program.
- This award does not allow for construction activities or costs.
- U.S. Consulate General, Hyderabad grants/ cooperative agreements cannot be used to fund religious or partisan political activity; fundraising campaigns; commercial projects; scientific research; projects whose primary aim is the institutional development of the organization, or illegal activities.
